Who this is for
Court’s List is a household meal planner. You must be 18 or older to create an account. Child profiles (a name and diet tags) are not logins and should not include extra personal detail.
What we store
When you use the app we keep household recipes, weekly plans, shopping lists, stores, pantry items, member names and diet tags, food-rule toggles, and the photos or files you upload (recipe cards, pantry snapshots, receipts). That data belongs to the household, on servers we control.
Sign-in
Accounts use Clerk. You can sign in with email or Google if Google is enabled. Clerk holds the login. We store a user id and, when we can, an email so an admin list can work. We do not get your Google password.
Hosting and files
The app and API run on Railway. Photos and receipt images go to private object storage (Cloudflare R2 when configured, otherwise disk on the server). The browser never talks to the bucket directly. It uses short-lived signed URLs from our API.
AI
Recipe import, plan fill, suggestions, receipt reading, and pantry detection can call language or vision models through OpenRouter. We send those jobs to zero-data-retention providers so the vendor does not keep your prompt to train on. We do not sell your recipes or train our own model on your household.
Videos
If you import a cooking video, a worker may download audio or captions long enough to transcribe. That temp file is deleted after processing. It is not stored with your photos.
Other data sources
Optional meal-balance numbers can use USDA FoodData Central. Seasonal produce uses a published Michigan chart, and optionally USDA market reports. Those services see a food name or a public report request, not your account.
Cookies on this marketing site
If you have signed in to the app, we may set a first-party hint cookie named cl_seen_app with the value 1 so this site can send you to the app. It holds no name, email, or token. Clerk also sets its own cookies on the app host. Details are on the Cookies page.
Export and deletion
You can remove a household in the app. That is irreversible and deletes its recipes, plans, lists, pantry items, and stored photos. A public contact address is not listed yet. Export and full-account requests will be available when it is, and we will need enough detail to find the right household.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not offer a child login.
